Through our club’s Community Service Committee, our
members have a variety of community volunteer activities available
throughout the year.
Our
organization welcomes proposals from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations who
could help address significant community problems or opportunities with the
added assistance of volunteer leadership and/or intellectual resources from
our club. (Note that the proposal form is different than our annual
community grant program.)

Other Service
Opportunities
International Service: The International Service Projects Committee is
currently exploring potential “hands-on” volunteer activities for club
members. Contact the club office to obtain further information.
Vocational Service: The Vocational Service Committee yearly plans and participates in several programs. The first is a Vocational Service Luncheon where approximately 20 members of the club volunteer to host other members at their place of business for lunch and a tour. The program is a
favorite of the membership as it is based on the concept of which Rotary was founded -- a rotation of meetings at each members place of business to learn about other vocations in the community.
Other programs the Vocational Service Committee participates in include an Eighth Grade Career Fair at a local middle school; School Makes a Difference Program for eighth grade students in which members share their school experiences and the
path that led to their career; and Starting Your Own Business where members review business plans of area high school students and then offer advice and expertise. |
