Manfred E. Swarsensky Humanitarian
Service Award
The Manfred E. Swarsensky Humanitarian Service Award was established in 1982 and identifies and honors
individuals who have, through their voluntary efforts, made a
particularly outstanding contribution to humanitarian service in the
greater Madison community, in the tradition so well exemplified by the
life of Rabbi Swarsensky.

Each year the Rotary
Club of Madison presents to a member of the community this
prestigious award in remembrance of former club member Rabbi Swarsensky.
The awardee is then asked to name a charity to which the Rotary Club of
Madison’s associated Madison Rotary Foundation then donates $2,500.
